Driver Controls

The tuning boxes are generally supplied with some sort of user control. This can be a simple on/off switch, a fully progressive adjustment, or a more specialised system.

Something like water/meth control can be run from an automated algorithm, or a diesel tuning box can have an 'overboost' button that will give a burst of extra power for ten seconds.

A control can be a switch that comes as standard for the vehicle, or something entirely different. This development car uses the redundant headlight levelling control as a four-position power level controller, and the 'voice recognition' switch on the steering wheel triggers an overboost mode.
